The following complaint were made against FIFA; Visas were refused, the team was only allowed to arrive one day before the match and they were forced to return emmediately to Mexico.
The Iranian football federation believes it has been treated unfairly and claims the conditions imposed on the team were not equal to those faced by other nations at the tournament.
