Kobbie Mainoo’s situation is honestly tough to watch.
At his age, regular game time is everything. He’s the type of midfielder who grows through rhythm, confidence, and trust on the pitch.
In a 4-3-3 setup, he’d shine with a proper CDM behind him, he could control the tempo and express himself freely.
But under Amorim’s current system, that role doesn’t really exist. With Mbeumo and Cunha absolutely locked in right now, it’s hard to see how Mainoo gets a consistent run.
It’s painful because everyone knows how good he is he just needs the right system and opportunity to show it, I don’t know what future holds but for now he is being wasted and i would not blame him if he wants out on the next window again.
