Chelsea FC are pushing to bring Antonio Rüdiger back to West London after falling out of favor at Real Madrid.
They believe they could do with an older, experienced member of the squad to set good examples and provide leadership in times of struggle.
A similar role to Thiago Silva when he joined Chelsea at the age of 35.
