The Turkish Football Federation has revealed that 371 referees out of 571 in the professional leagues have sports betting accounts.
Among them, 42 referees have personally placed bets on over 1,000 matches.
The president of the Turkish League has announced the launch of disciplinary proceedings and promised a complete overhaul of refereeing as well as of the entire football system in Turkey.
