Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is personally driving a move for Barcelona left back Alejandro Balde and has even spoken with Deco about a potential transfer.
In 2023, City already tried to sign Balde, aiming to take advantage of Barcelona’s financial troubles.However, at that time, Deco blocked the move and secured the player with a new long-term contract.
Today, a transfer seems almost impossible with Barça’s finances more stable and the player more established.
Even so, Guardiola is not giving up easily and he believes that Balde possesses the ideal qualities for his style of play and he see the left-back as a perfect fit for City’s system.
