The iconic football star in his words said he would prefer to play for his national team only as a footballer and not the football club's he played for in his choice.
Fron his speech on his social media pages, the footballer said; "Cristiano Ronaldo: “People, mainly from my family, say: “It's already time for you to retire. You've done everything. Why do you want to score a thousand goals? You already have over 900, what difference will it make?”
But I don't think that way. I think that I'm still producing good things, I'm helping my club and the National Team and why not continue? I'm sure that, when I finish, I'll leave fulfilled, because I gave everything of myself. I know I don't have many more years to play, but the little I have, I try to enjoy to the fullest… If I could, I'd play football only for the National Team, I wouldn't play for any other club because it's the culmination and the peak of a football player.” 🇵🇹
