Alexandre Eala has broke and set a new record by making history on day one of the US Open becoming the first player from the Philippines to win a single match in a open era.
He won the Grand Slam match in the open era with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 [13-11] first-round victory over 14th seed Clara Tauson at the 2025 US Open on Sunday 25th of August this year 2023.
